The purpose of the Women's Ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church is to glorify the Lord by lifting up our Sisters in Christ. It's not about material things, but a way to show love toward our Sisters in Christ through prayer, fellowship and service. We are here walking along side each other spiritually and mentally through the friendships that we are cultivating.

As our days, weeks and months are filled with endless to do lists, action plans, and get better schemes, we as women find ourselves wondering, "Am I beautiful, valuable, created as beloved with Christ in me?" We don't need a new make-over or a new hairstyle or even a flick of the wrist or a self inflected put-down. We simply need peace. Peace to believe we are who God says we are, not what we are prone to believe we are.

Do you know who you are? If you’re at all like me, then you need a reminder that you are beautiful, valuable, and you have a beloved identity. I hope you will join our WINGS Ministry and you will find a new place to envision who you are created to be.

You Are Beautiful

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

You Are Valuable

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (1 Peter 2:9)

You Are Created As Beloved and Christ Lives In You

But by the grace of God I am what I am. (1 Cor. 15:10)

Together let us remember who we are. We are daughters of God. No other name given to us stands more permanent than that name. No other title we carry will surpass that one. No other calling is greater. We are chosen, valuable, beautiful and secure. We are in Christ. We are powerful in him and beautiful because He is.
